Schwarzsee in Kitzbühel
This natural idyll is one of the most beautiful bathing lakes in the Alps. Due to its high mud content, the lake warms up very quickly in spring and the water has a high healing effect.
Schwarzsee is one of the local recreation areas and offers a variety of sporting opportunities such as fishing, swimming, a fitness trail and a walking path around the lake.
Another highlight are the electric boats and rowing boats, with which you can glide comfortably across the lake, or you can enjoy the sun's rays at the lakeside bistro with a coffee or a snack.

Bathing fun for the whole family - with an open-air and wide-wave slide, a separate children's and non-swimmer's area, an adventure playground with pirate ship and a large beach volleyball court. No boredom is guaranteed here!
FAMILY HIKES
Grießbachklamm
Experience a unique natural spectacle! The Griesbachklamm is without doubt the top hiking destination in our region. Clear water as well as romantic views and views offer the nature experience in Erpfendorf. The paths to the gorge are laid out with a great deal of love and sensitivity for a natural path. The car park from which the hike starts is approx. 800 m (coming from Kirchdorf) after the Erpfendorf town exit on the right-hand side, directly next to the road.
Teufelsgasse
You can walk in the footsteps of the devil in the Teufelsgasse. It is a real insider tip as a hiking destination, which also makes the explorer's heart of children and adults beat faster. This legendary rock gorge on the Leerberg in Kirchdorf in Tyrol casts a spell over everyone. The car park for the hike (parking fee 3 euros) is in the Hinterberg district near Gasteig in Kirchdorf and can be easily reached by car. The Teufelsgasse is signposted from here.
Eifersbach Waterfall
Would you like some refreshment? Especially on a hot day, you will find welcome cooling at the Eifersbacher Waterfall. The water of the waterfall falls over 25 metres into the valley next to you. You should not miss this impressive natural spectacle. The attractively designed trail starts in the centre of St. Johann in Tirol and leads across meadows and forests as well as over bridges and footbridges to the waterfall.
ADVENTURE ON THE MOUNTAIN
Hornpark - Climbing Forest with Flying Fox and Mountain Cars
The Hornpark climbing forest is the largest high ropes course in the Kitzbühel Alps. You will find the climbing park directly at the middle station of the Harschbichlbahn cable car of the SkiStar St. Johann in Tyrol mountain railway below the Kitzbüheler Horn. The Hornpark is located directly at the Angereralm mountain lake and offers a great view of the Wilder Kaiser. Experience over 8 different courses and more than 80 elements in all levels of difficulty. A special course for children from the age of 3 makes the high ropes course in St. Johann in Tyrol a destination for the whole family. There are also many other highlights waiting for you in the Hornpark Climbing Forest, such as the Flying Fox course, Segway tours, stand-up paddling (SUP) and much more!
Biking, Downhill, Single Trails etc.
Mountain bikers & downhillers get their money's worth in the St. Johann in Tirol region! In addition to the numerous mountain bike trails, you will find large bike parks in St. Johann in Tirol and Oberndorf. Lots of fun and action await ambitious bikers here. No matter whether beginner, advanced or professional ... there are suitable single trails for everyone. Steep curves, bumps, hairpin bends, steps or wooden obstacles are among the challenges on the trails.
Beginners can try their hand at the Skill Park in St. Johann in Tirol. A greater challenge awaits at the Harschbichl Trails. For a comfortable ascent, the SkiStar St. Johann in Tirol mountain railway also offers bike transport. Varied routes can be found at the large-scale OD Trails in Oberndorf in Tirol. Here you also have the option of ascending with the bike drag lift. Adrenalin, fun and flow are guaranteed!
